Hi sir
My name is maninder singh..i opted for education loan back in 2007 of rs. 3,40,000 for aircraft maintanance engg. Course .my course completed in 2010 after that I spent 2 years in unpaid training which should hav been a paid job and due to recession i did t get a paid job..
I paid my interest for few months during the course..in jan 2012 i got a notice from bank to pay the rest of amount..i started my installments in jan 2012 and kept on paying it continue.
After some time i realised the interest rate which i was paying was more than what was committed to me..
Then again after some time i got one more notice for repaying my loan as i was all ready paying it so ignored it.in 2013 last month i paid around 240000 and still my remaining amount was around 490000..i continued paying my amount..
One day i opened that second notice which i got from bank and i got worried cause that notice was about a tractor loan which i never took and i realised thats y my interest rate is higher.i went bank ,the manager said "wo aise hi bhej diya hoga uspe dhyan mat do".in 2014 subsidy scheme came according to that my interest amount was going to be waived off..i submitted all my required document and submitted in my bank but they said koi jawab aayega to bata denge..
There is no one helping me out..i m working in delhi in a small company right now my salary is not that much still i m continue paying my installments since jan 2012.
My father goes every week see the response but we r not getting any help.
If i have taken a education loan i cant pay a tractor loan..i have a proof copy of that notice as well in case you need it..if i would have got susbsidy at that time then today i was on this stage.
If i dont get any help then only option i would be left with is filling a case on consumer court as i am helpless please help me out i can not pay that huge amount right now i did not get any benefit of the subsidy which was provided to all students who had taken loan before 2009.
I m sharing my bank education loan info please make a way out of it to help me ..
Please its a humble request otherwise my whole life will be ruined.
I want this ammount to be reduced or to be waived off please...
